10 Least Toxic Conventionally Grown Fruits and Vegetables

Ok, now those who have read a recent post about 10 Most Toxic Conventionally Grown Fruits and Vegetables which cause everything from headaches to cancer and now freak out and are afraid to eat fruits and vegetables I have some good news!

There are plenty of fruits and vegetables which are completely safe to eat. For example Bananas,  thanks to their protective peel, are perfectly safe in their conventional (less expensive) form.

So the same group of researchers (Environmental Working Group from Washington, D.C.)  provides us a list of..

10 least toxic conventionally grown fruits and vegetables*:

1. Cabbage
2. Bananas
3. Kiwi
4. Asparagus (7 percent of samples tested found with detectable pesticides)
5. Sweet Peas
6. Mangoes
7. Pineapples
8. Sweet Corn
9. Avocados
10. Onions (1 pesticide found on a single onion)

*(in descending order of pesticide toxicity levels):

So its your decision – to eat fruits and vegetable polluted with pesticides and risk of developing a cancer or choose from this safe list. What do you choose?
